International Women’s Day 2021-Global Citizens-Share Experiences: Interview With Varsha Lemon

International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day 2021 (IWD) is on March 8th of each year around the world, with a focus on the movement for women’s rights.

This day is a celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the globe, and took place for the first time on March 8, 1911.  Many countries around the world celebrate this holiday with demonstrations, educational initiatives, and customs, such as presenting women with gifts and flowers.

Global Citizens

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate everyday women who have the unique title of global citizens and are part of a cultural experience that spans the globe. On this day of celebrations, we interviewed women with personal and cultural ties to India, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland, who shared their unique global experiences as women.
