REMEMBERING THE FIGHT FOR THE RIGHT TO VOTE | BE EMPOWERED VOTE EARLY NOW-NOV 3RD

Power Of Women Vote | Sisterhood Sharing Sessions | Civic Deeds: Remembering The Fight For The Right To vote-Be Empowered Vote Early

What I’ve Learned

I’ve learned there is nothing more empowering as a Citizen, than to cast your ballot and vote.  I am consistently honored, and humbled every time I stand in that Voting Line, approach that booth and make a singular decision that I know will impact a  community of Citizens, and our Country. I am very well aware that Voting is that rare instance where a personal decision has the power to impact a collective.  In that knowledge, I prepare myself and gather as much knowledge from independent resources to ensure I am making an informed decision.

I encourage everyone to be empowered, vote every Election as a proud part of our Civic Deed as Citizens.

Be Empowered Vote

Now is the time to Be Empowered, vote early  October 17th through November 3rd across North Carolina. Election Day for all is Tuesday November 6, 2018. Polls are open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. eastern standard time.

A great opportunity to remember the original women Trailblazers that fought tirelessly and paved the way for all women to have the right to vote, that included many associated with the Suffragist/Suffragette movement like Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucy Stone, Ida B. Wells-Barnett, and voting and women’s rights activist like Fannie Lou HamerSojourner Truth and many more.

So what was the Suffrage Movement in the United States-In short Women’s Suffrage was the Right Of Women to vote in elections. A person who advocates for women’s right to vote are known as Suffragettes or Suffragists.
