Healthy Comfort Food
Yes, comfort food can be healthy. ‘Wholesome Comfort Food‘ is the theme for Sisterhood Sharing Sessions Series, Foodie Favorites. The first comfort meal or ‘Dish One‘ in the series is Foodie Favorites–Farfalle Pasta with Turkey and Marinara Sauce. This dish is made with 97% Lean Ground Turkey which has less fat than the alternative Ground Beef, making it a healthier choice.
Pasta dishes are generally thought of as ‘Comfort Food’ and are not often associated with eating healthy, as pasta is associated with pounds. Certainly, some may argue ‘Healthy Comfort Food’ that includes pasta is a bit of an oxymoron. That said, the proof is in the ingredients.
