Sixteen years ago today on September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a devastating blow to our freedom, when the unimaginable happened. We were hit with a horrific attack that started with an airplane crashing through our financial epicenter in the heart of downtown New York city, as an intentional act of terror.

Today we remember, all of the brave first responders that worked tirelessly to save each and every individual in the wake of this devastation, risking their own lives in an effort to leave no one behind.  We remember the compassionate citizens that sought to assist one another in a time of need, and get to safety together. We remember, all of the innocent men, women, and children who tragically lost their lives that day. We remember, the families left to cope with the aftermath. We remember the strength of a people on the anniversary of a day the nation mourned together.

May we never forget.
